Vitalifi VitaCell+: Reviewing Dr. Sisskind’s Supplement Research

Vitalifi VitaCell+ is a natural immunity supplement based on Dr. Sisskind's research that combines 7 immune-boosting supernutrients for increasing energy, clarity and optimizing joint muscle health.

Full Disclosure

Immunity boosting supplements are incredibly common. Consumers should be aware that the science behind immune supplements is disputed, and researchers disagree about the precise ways that people might be able to increase their general immunity.

These supplements have become even more prominent as the COVID-19 virus spreads to communities all over the world. We caution consumers to be cautious when dealing with any company that claims that their supplement can cure, prevent, or eliminate the risk of COVID-19. As of right now, the CDC maintains that the only ways to lower your risk of contracting the virus are to wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, and practice social distancing.

VitaCell+ is a nutritional supplement. Its creators claim that it might help to boost the immunity of users. The supplement is made by a company called Vitalifi. As part of a new online marketing campaign, Vitalifi is promoting VitaCell+ as a solution to the COVID-19 coronavirus. We recommend that users are careful about this claim.

Vitalifi claims that their immune boosting supplement is “more important than vitamin C.” They also claim that “everyone needs this immunity booster right now,” obviously hinting at the fact that their supplement might help people avoid COVID-19.

How does VitaCell+ work? Should you buy VitaCell+? Is VitaCell+ worth the price? Today, we’re explaining everything you need to know about VitaCell+ in our comprehensive review of the supplement, as well as the company behind it.

What is VitaCell+?

VitaCell+ is a nutritional supplement that uses seven ingredients to boost your immune system. The supplement claims to strengthen your immune system against viruses, pathogens, and bacteria. As part of a recent online marketing campaign, VitaCell+ manufacturer Vitalifi even claims VitaCell+ could help users handle the COVID-19 coronavirus.

VitaCell+ is available online through the official product website. You can also order it through Amazon. VitaCell+ is priced at $33 to $50 per bottle, depending on how many bottles you order.

Vitalifi cites a man named Dr. Sisskind to support their health benefit claims. Dr. Sisskind claims that “everyone needs this immunity booster right now,” describing it as “more important than vitamin C.” We are unable to verify the credentials of this medical professional.

Will VitaCell+ really protect you against viruses and diseases? Let’s take a closer look at how VitaCell+ works.

How Does VitaCell+ Work?

VitaCell+ contains seven “immune-boosting supernutrients.” You take two capsules per day with breakfast, and users should take the supplement consistently to ensure its effects.

How Does VitaCell+ Work?

VitaCell+ might promote three benefits, according to the company's manufacturer. These benefits include:

  • Healthy Immune Response. VitaCell+'s creators claim that it works to “promote healthy cytokine activity.” Cytokines are substances secreted by certain cells of the immune system, helping your body defend itself against attacks.
  • Increased Energy & Clarity. VitaCell+ might boost energy and improve mental clarity. The manufacturer claims that, by strengthening your immune system, you can also improve cognition and energy.
  • Optimal Joint & Muscle Function. The company behind this supplement claim that it can soothe joints and muscles by improving cytokine function, including parts of your body that have become sore with overuse.

By taking VitaCell+ daily, you can purportedly enjoy these three benefits.

VitaCell+ Ingredients

Vitalifi does not disclose the dosages of its supplement. All ingredients are packaged into a mysterious proprietary formula, making it almost impossible to determine how much of any ingredient is in the supplement. A picture of the supplement's nutritional label is included below.

VitaCell+ Ingredients

Each two-capsule serving has 1155mg of a combination of the following nutrients:

  • CherryPURE Montmorency Tart Cherry Skin Powder
  • Longvida Curcuma Longa Rhizome Extract (23% Curcuminoids)
  • Boswellia Serrata Resin Extract (65% Boswellic Acids)
  • EGCG (As Green Tea Leaf Extract)
  • Quercetin (As Quercetin Dihydrate)
  • Resveratrol 50% (As Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract)
  • Cocoa Seed Extract (10% Theobromine)

Inactive ingredients include rice flour, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), and silicon dioxide.

Scientific Evidence for VitaCell+

VitaCell+ was formulated by a medical doctor with 20 years of experience. However, Vitalifi does not claim to have completed any scientific studies or clinical research on their supplement. Additionally, we cannot verify the qualifications cited by this purported doctor.

Instead, as proof the supplement works, the company cites various studies on the individual ingredients inside the formula. This is not abnormal; many supplements prove their formula's effectiveness by citing studies concerning individual ingredients, rather than the entire formula.

They claim that tart cherry extract (CherryPURE) can reduce inflammation in fatty tissue, for example, which could strengthen your immune system. As proof, Vitalifi cites this study published in 2018. That study did show that tart cherry extract reduced inflammation, although the study was performed on cell cultures and rats rather than humans.

Vitalifi also cites this study from 2016, which did use human subjects. In this study, 16 semi-professional male soccer players were divided into two groups. One group took 30mL of tart cherry extract twice per day, while the other group took a placebo. Researchers found acute inflammatory response (IL-6) was lower in the tart cherry extract group after eight consecutive days of treatment.

VitaCell+ also contains liposomal curcumin with 23% curcuminoids. Curcumin, which comes from turmeric, is a powerful anti-inflammatory. Instead of citing the dozens of studies performed on curcumin, we’ll reference this review study published in Foods in 2017. Researchers found that curcumin works “primarily through its anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory mechanisms”, helping to reduce muscle soreness and manage exercise-related inflammation.

The other five listed ingredients in VitaCell+ are also popular anti-inflammatories and antioxidants, although they’re used in lower dosages in this formula. Boswellia serrata extract is a plant extract used to decrease inflammation, for example, while EGCG, resveratrol, quercetin, and cocoa seed extract are known antioxidants supported by scientific evidence.

The lack of dosage information makes it hard to assess the benefits of VitaCell+. Studies on EGCG have suggested it works at dosages of 250mg per day. Since VitaCell+ does not disclose its dosages, it’s difficult to say if there’s enough EGCG to provide similar benefits.

Overall, VitaCell+ contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatories that reduce oxidation and inflammation throughout your body. This can indirectly benefit your immune system by easing your immune system’s burden. However, you can find similar ingredients (with more transparent dosages) in many other supplements at a lower price.

Who’s Behind VitaCell+?

VitaCell+ is marketed online by a company called Vitalifi, LLC. That company lists a mailing address in Jackson, Wyoming.

Vitalifi does not claim to manufacture the supplement itself. Instead, the company has partnered with a third-party manufacturer. The name of that manufacturer is not disclosed, which might be concerning for consumers looking for maximum transparency from their supplement provider.

Certain formulas in the supplement are made by other third parties. Longvida is a trademark of Verdure Sciences, Inc., for example, and CherryPURE is a trademark of Shoreline Fruit, LLC.

The official Vitalifi website  lists six supplements for sale:

  • VitaCell+
  • BerbeThin
  • FloraThrive
  • VitaOmega
  • Detoxifi
  • D3 Active

Vitalifi is led by a man named Dr. Mark Sivieri, who runs the Sivieri Wellness Center in Maryland. Dr. Sivieri claims to have a two-year waiting list for new patients, although there’s limited information online about the clinic (the clinic now goes by the name Turning Point Integrative Health and has locations in Columbia and Annapolis).

You can learn more about Dr. Mark Sivieri’s background at the official Vitalifi website here. Dr. Sivieri is a medical doctor who has treated thousands of patients over the past 20 years.

You can contact Vitalifi, LLC via the following:

  • Email: [email protected]
  • Phone: 1-844-209-3227
  • Mailing Address: 1603 Capital Ave., Suite 310 A401, Cheyenne, WY, 82001

The sales page for VitaCell+ also mentions a man named Dr. Sisskind, although it’s unclear how he is connected to Vitalifi.

Final Thoughts

Vitalifi has launched a nutritional supplement called VitaCell+ that claims to boost your immune system. The supplement is being marketed in dramatic videos as a solution for the COVID-19 coronavirus.

VitaCell+ purportedly strengthens your immune system using seven ingredients, promoting healthy cytokine activity and helping your body fight back against invaders.

There’s limited evidence that VitaCell+ works as advertised, and the supplement does not disclose the dosage of any ingredients. However, there’s some evidence the listed ingredients in VitaCell+ could act as anti-inflammatories and antioxidants, reducing the burden on your immune system.
