In other words, HerpaGreens is not just talking about reducing symptoms of herpes or supporting immunity: the supplement advertises itself as a permanent solution to herpes.
By taking HerpaGreens, you can purportedly stop infecting other people with herpes, eliminate cold sores and other painful sores, and solve all other herpes symptoms.
HerpaGreens claims to work “quickly.” Emily, the woman in the story on the HerpaGreens sales page, claims she started noticing improvements in symptoms within two days of taking HerpaGreens, then was free of the herpes virus within two weeks.
Does HerpaGreens Cure Herpes?
Legally, supplements cannot advertise themselves as cures for disease. Based on FDA regulations, only drugs can claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease.
It’s especially surprising to see HerpaGreens market itself as a solution to herpes because there isn’t a known solution to herpes – even in the world of drugs. Most doctors recommend taking antiviral medication to control symptoms.
Despite the lack of evidence, HerpaGreens makes numerous troubling claims about its ability to make anyone “free and clear of the herpes virus.”
HerpaGreens does not specifically mention the word “cure” on its sales page, although the company uses every possible synonym.
Some of the specific claims made on the HerpaGreens website include:

The sales page is filled with similar claims about HerpaGreens eliminating the herpes virus – even to a point where you can take multiple blood tests over weeks and find no trace of the herpes virus.
HerpaGreens Ingredients
Like many low-quality supplements sold online today, HerpaGreens does not disclose its ingredient label upfront, making it impossible to see the full list of ingredients and dosages within the formula.
However, we know the supplement contains some dosage of the following ingredients:
- Quercetin sources like kale, asparagus, green bell pepper, broccoli, orange, acerola cherry, and green tea leaf
- Resveratrol sources like concord grapes, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and cranberries
- Turmeric root
Other antioxidant sources like spirulina, parsley, organic banana, coconut juice, wheatgrass, apricot, Brussel sprouts, cabbage, tomato, cucumber, and cinnamon bark
Other natural extracts, including reishi, shiitake, and maitake mushroom extracts, spinach, ginseng, pineapple, cauliflory, camu camu fruit, cherry, pomegranate, and beetroot
When a supplement contains this many ingredients, it typically means it has low doses of all ingredients.
Dosage is important with these ingredients. Turmeric, for example, is typically taken in doses of 750mg to 1,500mg per day. Many low-quality supplements advertise extensive turmeric benefits – but use a dosage under 500mg of turmeric with few curcuminoids.
Scientific Evidence for HerpaGreens
Its possible HerpaGreens is a genuine herpes breakthrough, eliminating herpes in patients around the world in weeks.
However, it seems more likely that HerpaGreens is an overpriced supplement with no evidence of curing herpes whatsoever.
To support its bizarre claims, the makers of HerpaGreens cite a study involving 278 volunteers. These volunteers were “practically begging me to take part in the trial,” explains Cody.
After giving HerpaGreens to these 278 volunteers with herpes, Cody observed improvements in symptoms in every volunteer. In other words, HerpaGreens had a 100% success rate for targeting signs of the HSV-1 or HSV-2 herpes strain.
But HerpaGreens did not just stop symptoms in these strains: HerpaGreens eliminated the virus from their bloodstreams entirely:

As far as we can tell, this study never took place. Nobody has ever used HerpaGreens to eliminate the herpes virus. The study was never published in any peer-reviewed journal. It wasn’t even posted on a blog. The makers of HerpaGreens have not tested the formula on any animals or humans.
In other words, there’s no evidence HerpaGreens works as advertised to kill the herpes virus.
However, certain ingredients in HerpaGreens may have antiviral effects. Some of the ingredients have been shown to have antiviral effects against the herpes virus.
This 2017 study showed that resveratrol exerted antiviral effects against the herpes simplex virus and other viral infections, including respiratory viral infections caused by influenza. Researchers studied resveratrol for its impact on Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and were surprised to discover antiviral effects of resveratrol against herpes.
This 2017 study found similar effects in quercetin, showing that quercetin “significantly lowered HSV infectivity” in cells infected with the herpes virus.
Similarly, this 2009 study showed that curcumin inhibits the herpes simplex virus.
In other words, three of the critical ingredients in HerpaGreens, including quercetin, turmeric, and resveratrol, all appeared to have significant antiviral effects, specifically against the herpes virus.
However, most of these studies were performed on cells in test tubes – not humans. And, since we don’t know the dosage of any ingredient in HerpaGreens, it’s impossible to state whether or not it works.
The studies also showed that the ingredients have antiviral effects, which means they reduce the activity of the virus within your system. The studies did not show that the ingredients can permanently cure herpes or eliminate the virus from your system entirely.
The other ingredients in HerpaGreens, including kale, asparagus, broccoli, and green tea leaf, have not been linked to any type of herpes-related benefits or antiviral effects.
