Full Disclosure

TestoGen is a natural testosterone booster that claims to increase muscle size, strength, and stamina.

By taking four capsules of TestoGen per day, you can purportedly reverse testosterone degradation and improve performance using natural ingredients with no side effects.

Testosterone supplements are part of an ever-growing industry. But although the sector is clearly saturated with companies looking to make some extra money by selling the concept of masculinity, testosterone-boosters are often scams.

Obviously, there are plenty of shady testosterone boosters online that make similar promises with limited results. It's completely justified for consumers to conduct extensive research to try to figure out whether or not a given product lives up to the hype its producers promise.

Is TestoGen yet another testosterone booster scam? Or will TestoGen really increase testosterone using natural ingredients with no side effects? Find out everything you need to know about TestoGen today in our comprehensive supplement review.

What is TestoGen?

TestoGen is a natural testosterone booster that claims to “increase your testosterone quickly and safely.” Typically, you need to take artificial steroids or hormones to boost testosterone. TestoGen, however, claims to increase testosterone using natural ingredients.

Testosterone is a crucial male hormone. Testosterone levels peak in your mid-20s, then gradually decline. By the time you hit 50 or 60, your testosterone levels are less than half they were at your peak. Many men notice lower energy, poor athletic performance, and other downsides.

That’s why a growing number of men take testosterone boosters. Testosterone boosters claim to raise testosterone naturally. And, unlike steroids or hormones, testosterone boosting supplements claim to have no side effects. You’re using natural ingredients to raise testosterone – not injecting yourself with weird hormones.

Obviously, that all sounds good – but few testosterone boosters are proven to increase testosterone. Some supplements boost libido, for example, which tricks you into thinking you have higher testosterone. Other supplements dilate blood vessels, enhancing sexual performance.

In any case, raising testosterone levels can come with a number of benefits for the average man. Higher testosterone levels can make a man more confident, sexual, and even physically powerful.

Is TestoGen yet another testosterone booster scam? Let’s take a closer look at how this formula works.

How Does TestoGen Work?

The makers of TestoGen claim their supplement uses natural ingredients to provide the following benefits:

  • Increase testosterone quickly and safely
  • Reverse flagging libido
  • Improve performance
  • Increase muscle size, strength, and stamina

You enjoy all of these benefits just by taking four capsules per day. The TestoGen sales page is filled with pictures of men who have increased muscle mass, lost weight, and boosted virility at any age.

The company claims you’ll start noticing benefits within a week. After taking four capsules each morning, you will experience noticeable improvements to mood, focus, and vitality, along with muscle and strength improvements.

To achieve these benefits, TestoGen uses 11 ingredients, including D-aspartic acid (DAA), magnesium, vitamin D3, nettle leaf extract, and more. Each serving contains a blend of vitamins, minerals, herbal extracts, and more.

TestoGen Ingredients

TestoGen describes its ingredients as “all-natural, effective” and “researched.” They also claim the ingredients have “no side effects” and are “100% safe” for anyone to use.

To TestoGen’s credit, the manufacturer lists all ingredients and dosages upfront. Many other testosterone boosters hide ingredients and dosages, making it impossible to see what’s inside.

Listed active ingredients in this supplement purportedly include the following:

  • D-Aspartic Acid: TestoGen contains 2,352mg of D-aspartic acid, also known as DAA. DAA is prized within the testosterone boosting and bodybuilding communities. It regulates amino acids, helping your body produce hormones. One study found that DAA enhanced testosterone production by over 45% in just weeks.
  • Vitamins and Minerals: TestoGen contains several vitamins and minerals. The supplement has 200mg of magnesium, which is crucial for testosterone. It also has 50mcg of vitamin D3. Multiple studies have shown men with low levels of vitamin D3 tend to have low testosterone. A vitamin D supplement can help. TestoGen also contains 20mcg of vitamin K1, 20mg of vitamin B6, 10mg of zinc, and 8mg of boron.
  • Nettle Leaf Extract: TestoGen contains 40mg of nettle leaf extract. Nettle leaf extract, also known as stinging nettle, purportedly separates the bond between SHGB proteins and testosterone, allowing more free testosterone to circulate your bloodstream.
  • Korean Red Ginseng Extract: TestoGen contains 40mg of a 4:1 Korean red ginseng extract. According to the company, this extract is a “libido stimulator” and a well-known aphrodisiac that sharpens your physical, mental, and sexual performance.
  • Fenugreek: Fenugreek extract is found in virtually every male enhancement supplement available today. Studies have shown that fenugreek could boost strength, stamina, and virility, although it’s unclear how fenugreek works – or if it increases testosterone.
  • Black Pepper Extract: TestoGen contains 5mg of BioPerine (black pepper extract). Many supplements now use BioPerine to enhance absorption. Studies show your body struggles to absorb certain supplement ingredients on its own, while black pepper extract seems to enhance absorption.

Scientific Evidence for TestoGen

The makers of TestoGen have not run any clinical trials or scientific studies on TestoGen. However, they cite third-party studies performed on the ingredients within TestoGen.

This 2015 study analyzed the effects of D-aspartic acid (DAA) on resistance-trained men. Previous research found that DAA increased testosterone in sedentary men but did not raise testosterone in resistance-trained men (i.e., men who regularly worked out).

In that 2015 study, 24 males with at least two years of resistance training experience took 3g of DAA, 6g of DAA, or a placebo. Researchers found that a 6g dose of DAA actually decreased levels of total testosterone and free testosterone, while there were no significant differences between the 3g group and the placebo group.

This 2013 study found similar results, showing that 28 days of DAA supplementation to resistance-trained men had no impact on body composition or testosterone. In that study, men took 3g of DAA per day.

Other studies on DAA have been more supportive. DAA seems to be particularly effective for sedentary men. If you do not regularly lift weights, for example, and are not ‘resistance-trained,’ then it’s possible DAA could raise testosterone.

Korean red ginseng, meanwhile, is popular in testosterone boosters. It’s often labeled as panax ginseng. WebMD explains that panax ginseng is “often referred to as a general well-being medication.” It was traditionally used in Korea, China, and Siberia to make medicine. Today, some people 200mg to 400mg of panax ginseng to support erectile dysfunction.

Researchers have studied panax ginseng for erectile dysfunction. Researchers have studied doses of 1,400 to 2,700mg of panax ginseng per day for up to 12 weeks.

In this review study published in 2008, researchers in Korea analyzed 25+ trials on panax ginseng and found “suggestive evidence for the effectiveness of red ginseng in treating ED.” Researchers praised panax ginseng for its apparent ability to reduce ED symptoms. Studies used dosages of 600mg to 1,000mg of panax ginseng per day, although TestoGen only contains 40mg.

Some of the most proven ingredients in TestoGen are vitamins and minerals. Your body needs vitamins and minerals to support crucial bodily functions – including hormone and testosterone production. Many studies have found that men who don’t get enough zinc, magnesium, or vitamin D are often deficient in testosterone. Of course, you can get these ingredients from any multivitamin supplement – you don’t have to buy a supplement like TestoGen.

TestoGen also contains 40mg of fenugreek extract. Fenugreek has shown some ability to boost endurance and libido, and there’s some direct evidence it boosts testosterone. This 2016 study, for example, showed that men taking 600mg of fenugreek extract per day increased testosterone and muscle strength without any side effects. TestoGen contains a much lower dose of fenugreek – just 40mg of fenugreek per serving.

Overall, TestoGen contains multiple proven ingredients – although the dosages are much lower than what has been shown to work in studies. Some of the most proven ingredients and dosages are the vitamins and minerals. TestoGen also contains a significant amount of DAA (3g per serving), although it’s unclear if DAA can increase testosterone.

Frequently Asked Questions About TestoGen

It's hard not to have questions about some of the leading testosterone dietary supplements on the market. Consumers should research extensively to avoid being scammed in the often shady sector. This section will answer some of the most commonly asked questions about TestoGen.

Q: Does TestoGen actually work?

A: Yes and no. Studies have proven that several of the active ingredients in this supplement are capable of helping to raise testosterone levels in men. However, the main problem we found is that the dosages of these ingredients in TestoGen are quite a bit lower than the dosages found to be successful in cited trials and studies. As a result, it isn't clear if this supplement will work as intended.

Q: How do consumers use TestoGen?

A: This supplement requires users to take four capsules each day for optimal results. This is a bit more than most supplements require. This should be of little concern to most consumers, as four capsules shouldn't be incredibly difficult to take.

Q: What ingredients are in TestoGen?

A: Main active ingredients in this supplement include D-Aspartic Acid, Nettle Leaf Extract, Korean Red Ginseng Extract, Fenugreek, Black Pepper Extract, and various vitamins and minerals. All of these ingredients have bee the subject of relatively extensive clinical trials, albeit in generally lower dosages than are found in TestoGen.

Q: Does TestoGen require a prescription?

A: No. TestoGen is a dietary supplement. This means that users need no prescription in order to purchase and use it for its reported benefits. This also means, however, that the product is not evaluated nor approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

TestoGen Pricing

TestoGen is priced at $36 to $60 per bottle, depending on how many bottles you order. Each bottle contains 120 capsules (30 servings).

Here’s how pricing breaks down:

  • 1 Bottle: $59.99
  • 3 Bottles: $119.99
  • 5 Bottles: $179.99

All prices include international shipping.

The online store also lists TestoGen combo packages. You can bundle TestoGen with a liquid testosterone boosting formula called Testo-drops, for example, in packages ranging from $90 to $285.

TestoGen Refund Policy

TestoGen has no refund for opened or used products.

You can request a refund on unopened, unused bottles within 100 days. TestoGen will refund your money (minus shipping charges), although you need to return the unopened, unused, and sealed bottles back to the company.

To initiate the refund process, contact [email protected]

Final Thoughts

TestoGen is a testosterone boosting supplement that makes big claims about increasing testosterone – yet fails to be backed by any significant science. The supplement claims to increase testosterone and support muscle strength, yet contains few ingredients proven to do that. The supplement mostly contains DAA and vitamins and minerals, for example, all of which are available for cheaper prices online.

Making things look worse for TestoGen is the lack of a refund policy. The company does not provide any refunds on opened or used bottles, which is unusual for the supplement industry.

Overall, there are better testosterone boosting supplements available online at this price range than TestoGen. Still, users who want to give the supplement a shot might benefit from its unique combination of proven ingredients.
