Immune Elements: Reviewing the Total Detox Immunity Booster Research

Immune Elements is a total detox supplement with 27 ingredients that boosts immunity with an improved antioxidant formulation of vitamins C and E, mushrooms and selenium to fight free radicals.

Full Disclosure

Immune Elements is a 27-in-1 immune wellness formula that claims to support your immune system. It's experiencing a surge in popularity now as consumers fearful of the COVID-19 virus search for ways to promote immune strength in the hopes of decreasing their chances of contracting the virus using nutritional supplements.

A good immune system is your first line of defense against germs, viruses, and bacteria. Next to buying UV light sanitizers or doing home workouts, by strengthening your immune system, you reduce your chances of getting sick from many illnesses. Immune supplement creators cite some studies which have found that certain natural ingredients may help to improve general immunity and promote resistance to specific illnesses.

Immune Elements is a fast-acting passive immunity booster that contains vitamins, minerals, mushroom extracts, plant compounds, and more antioxidant support. By taking the immune booster daily, you can purportedly “boost the function of every single line of defense of your immune system” using this Immune Elements Total Detox supplement that can help regulate damaging free radicals with its non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free formula.

What is Immune Elements?

Immune Elements is a pure and cleanly formulated nutritional supplement that claims to support your immune system in multiple ways and have anti-fatigue properties.

The immunity supplement contains 27 individual ingredients, extracts and nutrients such as; vitamin C, vitamin E, grape seed, ginseng, garlic, turmeric, panax ginseng, sheep sorrel, slippery elm, pomegranate, cat's claw, selenium, graviola, red raspberry, green tea and mushroom extracts (Shiitake, Reishi and Maitake).

You take two capsules per day to support your immune system. The creators of Immune Elements claim that it can boost immune efficiency by targeting separate parts of your immune health at the same time. Its producers also claim that the supplement has “anti-fatigue properties,” as well as other benefits that can fully re-energize your body's vitality.

Immune Elements is more expensive than an average immune boosting supplement. Each bottle (60 capsules or 30 servings) is priced at $60. You can exclusively order Immune Elements online through the official product website, and the formula is not currently available through Amazon or other major retailers.

How Does Immune Elements Work?

Immune Elements claims to boost “all the four defense lines of your immune system.” The supplement company behind it argues that there are four lines of immune defense, which include:

  • Defense Line #1: Macrophages or white blood cells, which guard every region of your body. Your body sends white blood cells to a region in response to an infection. When your immune system is strong, white blood cells quickly neutralize any invading bacteria, preventing you from getting sick.
  • Defense Line #2: The creator of Immune Elements claims that the neutrophil invasion is your body’s second line of defense. It starts within an hour of the initial infection. Neutrophil cells leave their normal patrol routes in the bloodstream, moving to support white blood cells.
  • Defense Line #3: The monocyte invasion is the third line of defense. Monocytes rush to the infected area, transforming into white blood cells and begin attacking bacteria, viruses, and other intruders.
  • Defense Line #4: Bone marrow is your body’s fourth line of defense. Bone marrow increases the production of white blood cells. In response to infection, your bone marrow may create 20 to 50 times more white blood cells than normal, depending on the severity of the infection.

Immune Elements claims to support all four lines of defense, helping your immune system become more efficient in multiple ways through their comprehensive approach.

To support all four lines of defense, Immune Elements uses vitamins, minerals, plant extracts, and mushrooms, among other nutrients.

The Immune Elements sales page mentions the importance of zinc and vitamin D for supporting the immune system. In fact, these two ingredients are part of the “10 simple rules to supercharge your immune system.” However, Immune Elements does not actually contain either ingredient.

Zinc, vitamin D, and vitamin C have all been extensively studied for their role in immune function. People with compromised immune systems are often deficient in zinc or vitamin D, for example. Vitamin C and vitamin E, meanwhile, are powerful antioxidants that support your immune system by reducing oxidation or inflammation throughout the body.

Immune Elements also contains herbal extracts, including grape seed extract, graviola, red raspberry, and green tea extract. The manufacturer claims these ingredients “have great antiviral properties,” helping your body fight back against viruses.

The formula also contains popular anti-inflammatory ingredients like turmeric, which has been shown to target oxidation and inflammation throughout the body.

There are also multiple mushroom extracts, including shiitake, reishi, and maitake mushroom extracts. The creator of Immune Elements claims these mushroom extracts “fully activate immune cells and lower inflammation,” helping your body fight infection.

Rounding out the formula are other ingredients, including garlic, Indian rhubarb, selenium, and ginseng.

Overall, Immune Elements has taken over a dozen popular immune boosting ingredients and added them to a single formula. Most of the ingredients in the formula have been studied for their role in immune health, and many of the ingredients are proven to support the immune system.

Immune Elements Ingredients

Immune Elements makes big claims about its ingredients, claiming to use “over 26 immune system boosting ingredients.”

The full list of ingredients in Immune Elements includes soursoup leaf, red raspberry fruit, green tea leaf, beta-glucan, turmeric, maritime pine bark, Indian rhubarb root, burdock root, sheep sorrel, slippery elm bark, grape seed, shiitake mushroom, reishi mushroom, maitake mushroom, quercetin dihydrate, pomegranate seed hull, olive leaf, arabinogalactan, cat’s claw bark, garlic bulb, Asian ginseng root, and lycopene.

All of these active ingredients are packaged into a gelatin capsule with fillers/binders like magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, and microcrystalline cellulose. Read a full breakdown of the ingredients in this supplement in the nutritional label pictured below:

immune elements supplement facts

Immune Elements contains the right ingredients. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to contain the right dosages of these ingredients. Immune Elements locks all ingredients within a proprietary formula, making it impossible to check the real dosage of any individual ingredient. This presents a problem when users look to analyze the legitimacy of the health benefits the company behind it claims to offer.

We know there’s green tea extract, garlic, and ginseng in the formula, for example, but we don’t know if the supplement uses the same dosages used in scientific studies supporting their effectiveness.

We do know the supplement contains 33% of your Daily Value (DV) of vitamin C, 133% of your DV of vitamin E, and 36% of your DV of selenium. These dosages are very small, and you can get higher dosages from any multivitamin.

Since there’s just 1,512mg of formula in each two capsule serving, it seems unlikely that Immune Elements contains significant amounts of any single ingredient; instead, the company seems to have just jammed small dosages of multiple proven ingredients into one formula instead of focusing on high dosages of a smaller number of ingredients.

Another unusual thing about Immune Elements is that the supplement claims to be vegan, yet it uses a gelatin capsule. Gelatin is a pork product. Any supplement that uses a gelatin capsule is not vegan. Users should know that this product might not be vegan, even though it is advertised this way.

Overall, the creator of Immune Elements seems to be willing to say anything to sell the supplement. The sales page tells us this is a proven immune boosting formula. The supplement’s label, meanwhile, tells us otherwise.

Immune Elements Total Detox

The sales page for Immune Elements mentions a separate formula called Immune Elements Total Detox. This formula contains psyllium husk and black walnut extract to “detoxify, cleanse, and renew” your body.

Each two capsule serving contains 1.5g of formula. The ingredients are all rich with fiber, and Immune Elements seems like a basic fiber supplement – similar to Metamucil.

If you buy the three bottle package of Immune Elements, then you’ll receive one bottle of Total Detox for free. If you buy the six bottle package, then you’ll receive two bottles for free.

Frequently Asked Questions About Immune Elements

Users should question any immune boosting formula that they come across. While you should do your own research as well, this section should help to answer many of the most commonly asked questions about Immune Elements.

Q: Can immune supplements prevent COVID-19?

A: Generally, no. The CDC maintains that the only ways to ensure you minimize your odds of contracting the virus are to wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, and practice social distancing as much as possible. Additionally, the FDA has not approved any supplement to treat COVID-19.

Q: What ingredients are included in Immune Elements?

A: Ingredients for this supplement include: soursop leaf, red raspberry fruit, green tea leaf, beta-glucan, turmeric, maritime pine bark, Indian rhubarb root, burdock root, sheep sorrel, slippery elm bark, grape seed, shiitake mushroom, reishi mushroom, maitake mushroom, quercetin dihydrate, pomegranate seed hull, olive leaf, arabinogalactan, cat’s claw bark, garlic bulb, Asian ginseng root, and lycopene. We are concerned that the amount of each ingredient included might not be sufficient to gain the benefits found in the studies cited by the company.

Q: Is Immune Elements scientifically backed?

A: Yes and no. The company behind Immune Elements is able to cite various studies that do support the effectiveness of key active ingredients in promoting general immunity. However, these studies often used a much higher concentration or dosage of the ingredient than is included in a dose of Immune Elements. Therefore, we are unable to verify that the benefits found in these studies will also be found in this supplement.

Q: How do you use Immune Elements?

A: The company recommends taking two capsules daily. The capsules can be taken with or without food, and more specific questions about dosing should be directed to the customer service team.

Final Thoughts

Immune Elements is an immune boosting supplement with unusual marketing online.

The sales page for Immune Elements makes bold claims about “boosting” your immune system, yet the ingredient label shows few proven ingredients and limited dosage information, making it hard to verify these claims. The sales page also claims that the supplement is vegan, yet it uses a gelatin capsule.

Overall, there are plenty of proven immune boosters available online today, including supplements at a cheaper price and with more transparent marketing than Immune Elements.
