Signal Relief: Reviewing the Pain Relief Patch Research

Signal Relief is a natural pain management patch that offers fast-acting, drug-free Neuro Capacitive Coupling healing properties via micro nano-capacitors working to help support minor body aches.

Full Disclosure

Millions of Americans suffer from chronic pain. Pain can be caused by a number of things, but solutions for consistent feelings of pain and discomfort have been relatively limited. The medical community typically recommends a combination of general healthy lifestyle change and pain relief medications to remedy the worst pains that users regularly experience.

But pain relief pills often come with a number of unwanted side effects. Pills can cause addiction and other impacts, and medication regimens can often become unbearably expensive. All of these reasons may contribute to the growing interest of many Americans in alternative medicine as a solution to their pain problems.

Signal Relief is a reusable patch that claims to provide drug-free pain relief to its users. The patch is sold online through the official product website, where each patch costs around $130.

Signal Relief claims that their patch can lower stress, boost recovery, and lower inflammation within minutes of application. The company also claims that their gadget can eliminate chronic pain. Just apply the patch to obtain instant relief from pain and inflammation, says the product's creators.

Does Signal Relief actually work? Or is this yet another overpriced, over-hyped pain relief product that won’t deliver? Find out today in our Signal Relief review, which will include everything users need to keep themselves informed on the product, as well as the company behind it.

How Does Signal Relief Work?

Signal Relief uses something it calls “neuro capacitive coupling” technology to reduce pain in a 100% safe and drug-free way. However, it’s not clear what this means or how the patch works – if at all.

How Does Signal Relief Work?

The Signal Relief skin patch has five layers, including an “Ultra Soft Touch” layer that presses against your skin and a “Clear Waterproof Protection” layer on the outside.

Signal Relief gets its power from the three layers in the middle, including the Micro Nano Capacitors layer and the two “Signal Relief Technology” layers. These three layers contain billions of “micro nano-capacitors” to relieve pain.

Scientific Evidence for Signal Relief

Signal Relief claims the patented technology was originally developed by the US Navy SEALS “to clear static and enhance reception for communication devices”. Today, that same technology can be used to relieve pain.

Here’s how Signal Relief responds when asked to explain how their device works:

“The message is simple: a message from the location of the pain to your brain. By embedding billions of nano capacitors into a flexible circuit, signal is able to passively interact with the neural network to alleviate all kinds of pain from headaches, backaches, gout, and everything in-between!”

Aside from this vague information, the Signal Relief sales page has little to say about its technology or how it works. It’s unclear what the “micro nano-capacitors” are, for example, or how these mysterious devices relieve pain “within minutes” and “eliminate chronic pain”, among other stated benefits.

Scientific Evidence for Signal Relief

Signal Relief is mysteriously vague about how their system works or what the patches do. The company vaguely mentions things like “micro nano-capacitors”, although the company never explains what a micro nano-capacitor is – or how they eliminate pain as claimed.

Signal Relief also claims their system is patented – yet we can find no evidence of any patent for this technology.

As far as we can tell, there is zero scientific evidence for the technology behind Signal Relief. The website does not mention any clinical trials, peer-reviewed research, or other studies.

The only information we can find about nano capacitors and pain relief is from Kailo, which launched a crowdfunding campaign in 2019. Kailo is a Utah-based startup that claimed to use “nanotechnology” to reduce long-term, chronic pain with a skin patch. Kailo described itself as the “future of pain relief”, claiming that the nanotechnology “interacts with the body’s electrical system”. The skin patch “contains nano capacitors that work as a bio antenna, assisting the body in clear communication to turn down the volume on your pain”.

Neither Kailo nor Signal Relief provide a good explanation of how the technology works. There’s no scientific evidence showing that clearing communication to your brain with nano capacitators can provide significant pain relief – no matter what Signal Relief tells you.

Overall, Signal Relief gives us no reason to believe the patches relieve any pain whatsoever. There’s no evidence they work.

How to Use Signal Relief

Using Signal Relief is straightforward. You buy the patch, then buy a double-sided adhesive strip and attach it to your body:

Step 1) Find the area where your Signal Relief patch is in the optimum position while your pain is at its minimum

Step 2) Peel the liner off the back of the tape strip, the apply the tape strip to your Signal Relief patch

Step 3) Peel the liner on the opposite side of the tape strip, then apply the patch to your body or your clothing

Step 4) You can clean and re-apply the Signal Relief patch; just wipe it down with a damp cloth then let it air dry to regain its tackiness

Frequently Asked Questions About Signal Relief

How to Use Signal Relief

There are a number of scam products in the alternative pain relief market. As a consequence, users should be careful to research extensively before using any product to mitigate their chronic pain. This section should help clear the waters surrounding Signal Relief by answering some of the most common questions consumers have about both the patch and the company behind it.

Q: Who manufactures Signal Relief?

A: Little information is available about the company producing Signal Relief, although the company goes by the same name as their trademark product. The official product website lists nothing about the organization's mailing address, phone number, or company headquarters. Users should be cautious about this lack of information and thoroughly vet them before doing business with Signal Relief.

Q: How do you use Signal Relief?

A: Signal Relief is incredibly easy to use. Consumers can just attach the adhesive patches as close to the origin point of your pain as you can get it without causing discomfort. The device supposedly begins to work immediately to eliminate pain and reduce overall inflammation that causes pain.

Q: Is Signal Relief scientifically supported?

A: Generally, very little scientific research has found that devices like Signal Relief can genuinely reduce pain and inflammation. Users who experience chronic pain should speak to their healthcare provider to ensure that they are getting the treatment they need to remain comfortable and healthy.

Q: Do you need a prescription for Signal Relief?

A: No. Signal Relief is a form of alternative treatment, and it requires no prescription or permission from a doctor. However, this comes at a price; Signal Relief has not been evaluated by any official medical organization.

Signal Relief Pricing

  • Tri-Fit (4.5”): $140 + Free Standard Shipping
  • Tri-Fit (3.5”): $130 + Free Standard Shipping

Each kit includes a reusable patch, three adhesives, and a box to store the patches. Patches are available in white or aqua. The only difference between the 3.5” and 4.5” patches is size.

You can purchase 10-packs of adhesives from the product website for $20.

Signal Relief explains each patch will last years with proper use, although the adhesives will need to periodically be replaced.

Signal Relief Refund Policy

Signal Relief has a 30 day refund policy. You can request a full refund within 30 days of your purchase if you don’t feel like the patch is working.

If you read the fine print, it seems Signal Relief will not refund shipping costs, although you can receive a complete refund on your purchase price.

About Signal Relief

Signal Relief provides no information about itself online. The official website does not list a mailing address, company headquarters, or even a phone number.

Signal Relief also provides no evidence that they’re qualified to give medical advice – despite selling a product that promises to “eliminate chronic pain”.

Signal Relief appeared online in March 2020.

Final Thoughts

Signal Relief is a skin patch that claims to eliminate chronic pain and reduce aches throughout the body. Unfortunately, the manufacturer provides no evidence the skin patch works, and there’s limited information about the mysterious “patented micro nano-capacitor technology” inside the device.

The company also provides no information about itself or its background online, which makes us suspicious that Signal Relief could be a scam.

For all of these reasons, it’s unlikely the Signal Relief patch will provide any type of pain relief, and users should be cautious.
