What is Rescue Hair 911?

Rescue Hair 911 is a nutritional supplement that claims to offer advanced hair nutrition. You take two capsules daily to rejuvenate your hair and scalp.

The makers of Rescue Hair 911 claim to have “uncovered the secrets” to restoring youthful looks and self-esteem. Those “secrets” include active ingredients like saw palmetto extract, nettle leaf, and vitamins and minerals.

Rescue Hair 911 is one of the more expensive hair regrowth supplements found online today. It’s priced around $70 per bottle.

Rescue Hair 911 Features & Benefits

What is Rescue Hair 911?

Rescue Hair 911 claims to offer all of the following features and benefits:

  • Completely rejuvenate the hair and scalp
  • Provide shinier, softer, and stronger hair
  • Promote better conditions for new hair growth
  • Optimize hair regrowth
  • Helps with balding and thinning
  • Gives you a more youthful appearance and newfound confidence

This is how the benefits are worded on the official website. The company doesn’t specifically claim their supplement regrows air or cures baldness. Instead, they claim it “optimizes hair regrowth” or “assists with balding and thinning”. Essentially, these benefits all main the same thing, but the website uses funny wording to avoid problematic marketing.

How Does Rescue Hair 911 Work?

Rescue Hair 911 claims to reverse balding and help regrow hair using saw palmetto berries, nettle leaf, vitamins, and minerals.

The formula contains more than 50% of your Recommended Dietary Intake (RDI) of vitamin E, vitamin B6, zinc, copper, and selenium. It also contains 200mg of saw palmetto berries, 300mg of plant sterol complex, and 100mg of pygeum africanum bark powder.

Rescue Hair 911 Features & Benefits

There are 20+ other listed ingredients, although the dosages seem much too low to have any significant effect on your body. The formula contains 10mg of reishi and shiitake mushroom extract, for example, and a 142mg proprietary blend, although none of these ingredients seem effective at those low dosages.

Rescue Hair 911 claims that those taking saw palmetto are “600% more likely to grow in thicker hair”. They also claim that pygeum bark extract “Targets DHT to essentially deactivate it before it ever reaches the hair follicles”.

The plant sterol complex, meanwhile, repairs damaged hair. Damaged hair loses hair lipids, and the plant sterol complex fills these lipids back in. Rescue Hair 911 also claims that the plant sterols “stop the conversion of testosterone to DHT”.

The FDA has only approved one product for hair regrowth: minoxidil (used in Rogaine and other formulas). You apply minoxidil or Rogaine to your scalp, and the formula is proven to regrow hair in many and women. Minoxidil works by dilating blood vessels on your scalp, encouraging the regrowth of hair in the area. It’s a vasodilator applied topically to your hair.

The FDA has not approved any nutritional supplements for the treatment of balding, and there’s no evidence that any nutritional supplement can regrow hair or reverse balding.

Rescue Hair 911 cites several studies explaining the benefits above, although none of these studies seem to be large scale trials on humans. The dosage in Rescue Hair 911 also does not seem to match the dosage used in these studies: Rescue Hair 911 uses much lower dosages.

There is some small evidence that saw palmetto targets balding: in 2002, researchers found that a combination of 200mg of saw palmetto extract combined with a plant compound called beta-sitosterol reduced hair loss in 60% of men compared to a placebo.

Another study gave men with male pattern baldness 320mg of saw palmetto extract per day or finasteride, a conventional hair loss medication, then studied the results after two years. About one third of men given saw palmetto reported an increase in hair growth, although it was only half as effective as the conventional medication.

How Does Rescue Hair 911 Work?

Rescue Hair 911 describes their formula as “proven”, claiming that the ingredients “are demonstrated over and over to provide impressive results” – “even if you’re completely bald”.

However, you can buy a saw palmetto extract for a cheap price online. The other ingredients in Rescue Hair 911 seem mostly unproven.

Overall, the most proven ingredients in Rescue Hair 911 are vitamin E, vitamin B6, zinc, copper, and selenium, all of which play a crucial role in overall body health. However, you can get these ingredients from any basic multivitamin – you don’t have to spend $70 per bottle on Rescue Hair 911.

Rescue Hair 911 Ingredients

Rescue Hair 911 publishes its complete ingredient label online. Most of the ingredients are in dosages too small to have any significant impact on the body. However, the formula contains 67% to 200% of your recommended intake of vitamin E, vitamin B6, zinc, copper, and selenium.

Rescue Hair 911 is made by supplement company PhytAge Laboratories. The company offers a number of trendy supplements online that make big claims about their effectiveness. PhytAge Labs recently launched a “Tinnitus 911” supplement that claims to reverse symptoms of tinnitus, for example, and a “Testo 911” supplement that claims to boost testosterone levels.

PhytAge Laboratories is based in Austin, Texas, although they seem to source supplements from a factory in Colorado.

Frequently Asked Questions About Rescue Hair 911

Hair growth scams have been a regular part of the niche industry since its very conception. Users should research to stay informed as the sector continues to grow. This section will answer some of the most commonly asked questions about Rescue Hair 911.

Q: Can supplements improve hair growth?

A: Many supplements have been proven to significantly improve hair growth and hair health. The success of a given formula will always come down to the ingredients that compose its formula. Certain proteins and superfoods can help to repair the hair that already exists while encouraging general growth.

Q: What ingredients are in Rescue Hair 911?

A: The key active ingredients in Rescue Hair 911 include: vitamin E, vitamin B6, zinc, copper, selenium, saw palmetto berries, plant sterol complex, and pygeum africanum bark powder. Q: Is Rescue Hair 911 scientifically supported?

A: There have been no research studies on the general Rescue Hair 911 formula, but multiple research trials have established the effectiveness of many of the supplement's key ingredients. However, we find that the dosages used in these studies are typically incongruent with the dosage numbers of this formula.

Q: How do you use Rescue Hair 911?

A: We were unable to find a clear list of dosing instructions on the official website for Rescue Hair 911. However, users should avoid taking more than two of the capsules at a time, as each capsule contains around 50% of a few of your daily recommended dosages of certain vitamins and minerals.

Final Thoughts

Rescue Hair 911 makes big claims about its benefits, claiming that you take two capsules per day to regrow hair and reverse hair loss. There’s some evidence that saw palmetto extract can improve hair growth in some men, although most other ingredients in Rescue Hair 911 are unproven (or use dosages that are too small).

At $70 per bottle, Rescue Hair 911 is much more expensive than traditional saw palmetto supplements or hair growth multivitamins.

For all of these reasons, you may be better off buying a saw palmetto supplement or hair growth multivitamin supplement at a much cheaper price.
