What is Noobru Advantage?
Noobru Advantage, found online at Noobru.com, is a nootropic formula that comes in the form of a powder. You mix the powder with water, then drink it daily to enhance cognitive performance.
Noobru markets the formula to people who need a cognitive boost at work, school, or sports. They also market the supplement to older adults who want to “keep up with kids and grandkids” while “fighting mental decline”.
Noobru was created by Martyn Cook, who describes himself as a “serial entrepreneur and bio-hacking enthusiast”. Martyn spent years taking various nootropic supplements before deciding to create his own stack.
Noobru is based in the United Kingdom, although they ship Noobru Advantage all over the world. Each package is priced at around £48 ($61 USD) for 20 servings.
How Does Noobru Advantage Work?
Noobru Advantage is a nootropic supplement that uses clinically studied ingredients to help with anxiety, energy, focus, learning, memory, mood, and other aspects of cognition.
The formula contains popular and well-known nootropics like L-theanine, CHD choline, phosphatidylserine, Huperzine A, and alpha GPC, among others.
Noobru Advantage is a powder. You tear open each single-use packet of Noobru Advantage, then mix it with 500mL (17 oz) of water. You can adjust the amount of water for taste. Shake the bottle to mixt he powder together, then drink and enjoy the cognitive boost.
By drinking Noobru Advantage daily, you can purportedly enjoy the following benefits;
- Sharp focus
- Clear thinking
- A quick mind
- Happy, relaxed alertness
- Ideal for competitive sports, workplaces, or school
- Useful for older adults who are fighting mental decline
To achieve these effects, Noobru Advantage contains 11 nootropic ingredients. We’ll talk more about those ingredients below.
Noobru Advantage Ingredients
Noobru Advantage packages 9 of its ingredients into a proprietary blend, making it impossible to see the dosages of individual ingredients. We know there’s 974mg of that proprietary blend, although we don’t know the specific dosages of L-theanine, citicoline, Huperzine A, or other ingredients in the formula.
Nevertheless, Noobru Advantage contains clinically studied ingredients, including some of the best-known nootropics on the market. The company also does not contain caffeine or other stimulants. Other nootropics may contain these ingredients to trick you into thinking the supplement works. With Noobru Advantage, that’s not the case.
Here’s how Noobru explains the benefits of each ingredient in the formula:
L-Theanine: L-theanine and caffeine is the most popular nootropic stack in the world today. In fact, this stack is naturally found in certain teas. Although Noobru Advantage contains no caffeine, the formula does use L-theanine to reduce anxiety, improve accuracy and alertness, reduce psychological and physiological stress responses, and provide other cognitive benefits.
Phosphatidylserine: Noobru Advantage contains phosphatidylserine to increase memory, improve exercise capacity, and counteract stress activation in the brain.
CDP Choline: The CDP choline in Noobru Advantage is linked to better memory, improved attention and reaction times, and higher dopamine levels, among other benefits.
Ashwagandha: Ashwagandha can increase muscle strength, improve cardiorespiratory endurance, and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety according to Noobru.
N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine: This compound improves cognitive performance and mood while counteracting “performance decrements”, according to Noobru.
Sulbutiamine: Although not as common as other nootropic ingredients in Noobru, Sulbutiamine could provide neuroprotective effects, improve memory and memory formation, and boost reaction times, among other benefits.
Alpha GPC: Alpha GPC increases strength, enhances muscle performance, and could increase the secretion of growth hormones, among other benefits.
Huperzine A: Huperzine A is a popular nootropic ingredient shown to enhance memory, enhance learning, and improve mental function, among other benefits.
Vitamin B5: Vitamin B5 supports memory and learning, enhances energy production, and helps your body convert acetylcholine, which is linked toe memory.
Vitamin B6: Vitamin B6 improves cognitive function, fights panic attacks and stress, and protects against symptoms of depression, among other benefits.
Absorbagen: Absorbagen is a proprietary trademark formula we haven’t seen in many other nootropic supplements. The formula purportedly combats depression, increases the bioavailabity of other ingredients, and has other “bio-enhancing benefits”.
We don’t know the dosage of most nootropic ingredients in Noobru Advantage, making it difficult to compare the supplement to other nootropics. You can buy Alpha GPC supplements for under $15 that contain 300mg of Alpha GPC per serving, for example. It’s possible Noobru Advantage has a similar dosage – or a much lower or higher dosage. With proprietary formulas, it’s impossible to tell.
How to Use Noobru
Noobru is straightforward to use. Just mix the powder with water, then shake and drink it:
Step 1) Mix Noobru with 500mL or 17oz of water, adjusting the amount of water based on taste preferences
Step 2) Shake and drink. Noobru specifically recommends shaking the beverage instead of stirring it.
Step 3) Enjoy brain boosting benefits. Let the ingredients go to work over the next few hours to enhance cognition.
Scientific Evidence for Noobru Advantage
Noobru has not tested their formula on any humans or animals, nor has the company conducted any clinical trials or other studies.
However, the company cites dozens of studies supporting each ingredient in Noobru Advantage. Generally, these studies show that Noobru Advantage should work as advertised because it contains the right ingredients – although the lack of dosage information makes it difficult to directly compare Noobru Advantage to other nootropics or to scientific studies.
Noobru cites this 1999 study where people took Huperzine A capsules to enhance memory and learning performance, for example. Researchers observed significant cognitive benefits by giving participants 100mg of Huperzine A per day. It’s unclear if Noobru Advantage contains the same dosage – or a higher or lower dosage.
Noobru also mentions this 2017 study on L-theanine and caffeine, one of the most popular nootropic stacks in the world. Researchers tested the stack and found that L-theanine decreased mind wandering associated with caffeine, leading to better attention among participants. In that study, researchers took a liquid formula containing 200mg of L-theanine and 160mg of caffeine.
To support the use of phosphatidylserine, Noobru cites this 2017 study showing that phosphatidylserine improved memory function of elderly Japanese participants. Researcher’s used a version of phosphatidylserine derived from soybean on 78 elderly people with mild cognitive impairment. Participants took 300mg of phosphatidylserine per day for 6 months. Researchers found that phosphatidylserine significantly improved verbal recall, memory, and other factors. Again, it’s unclear if Noobru Advantage contains a similar 300mg dose – or a much lower or higher dose.
Noobru also contains ashwagandha, an adaptogenic herbal extract that could reduce stress and anxiety while improving memory. To support these benefits, Noobru cites multiple studies. They cite this 2014 study showing that ashwagandha (also ladled as Withania somnifera) could improve performance on cognitive and motor tests in healthy humans.
Overall, Noobru cites dozens of studies supporting each ingredient in Noobru Advantage. Most of these studies test the listed ingredients on real, human subjects in a double-blind, placebo-controlled setting. The ingredients in Noobru Advantage should work as advertised to support various cognitive benefits – although we would appreciate more transparency with specific ingredient dosages.

Noobru is a nootropic supplement company created by Martyn Cook, a serial entrepreneur and bio-hacking enthusiast. Martyn spent years messing with nootropics and experimenting with different formulas. He was sick of taking 10 battery-sized capsules 3 times per day – so he decided to create his own nootropic stack in the form of Noobru Advantage.
Noobru has partnered with Project Healthy Children to give back to the community with each order. So far, Noobru has fortified 543,970 meals for children through that initiative. Project Healthy Children distributes remotely-monitored machines that add critical nutrients to flour as it’s milled, fortifying meals for children around the world. Noobru aims to fortify 1 billion meals by 2025.

Noobru Advantage is a nootropic supplement that claims to support cognition and mental energy in various ways. The formula uses phosphatidylserine, L-theanine, CDP choline, and Alpha GPC, among other ingredients, to boost mental clarity and energy.
Overall, Noobru Advantage should work as advertised by providing a powerful stack of nootropic ingredients. It’s more expensive than buying the individual ingredients on their own, and the lack of specific ingredient dosages is annoying, but Noobru Advantage seems to be an effective nootropic supplement for anyone seeking a mental boost.
