What is Lion HRT?

Lion HRT is a nutritional supplement available exclusively online through LionHRT.co. Priced at $50 to $70 per bottle, Lion HRT is marketed as a way to prevent heart attacks.

f

“Do this 6-second trick tonight to prevent a heart attack tomorrow,” explains the official Lion HRT website.

“Lion HRT is 100% natural, safe and effective…Because it was engineered based on teachings from the longest living doctor in the world, Lion HRT formula is very gentle yet powerful at the same time.”

The company also claims to have sold thousands of bottles to date, claiming that “thousands of people enjoy taking Lion HRT every day”, and none of these people have complained about side effects.

Obviously, you should be skeptical when a supplement markets itself as a preventative measure for heart attacks. Based on FDA regulations, only drugs can market themselves as a treatment or cure for disease. Lion HRT seems to suggest it can prevent heart attacks just by taking one supplement per day.

“The best results come from when you take Lion HRT consistently for 3 – 6 months to allow time to improve you natural immunity…Simply take Lion HRT with a glass of water after the first meal of the day.”

Does Lion HRT really prevent heart attacks? How does Lion HRT work? Let’s take a closer look at how Lion HRT works and whether or not it’s supported by evidence.

The Lion HRT Story: Who’s Behind Lion HRT?

The makers of Lion HRT provide limited information about how the supplement works. The company claims the ingredients in their formula can “prevent a heart attack tomorrow”.

In one dramatic promotional video, a man shares the story about his poor genetic history. Because of that man’s genetic history, he was worried about his parents dying from a heart attack. His father died from a heart attack after his heart medication proved ineffective. Motivated by that loss, the man behind Lion HRT identified “the real cause of high blood pressure, heart attacks”, and other cardiovascular issues.

In fact, that man claims that diet and exercise have nothing to do with heart attacks. No matter what you eat or drink or how much you exercise, it will not impact your risk of heart attacks:

“Despite what many believe, your heart problems have nothing to do with your diet or how fatty your food is, extensive cardio and gym workouts, the medication you’re taking, or even genetics.”

If heart disease is not linked with diet, exercise, or genetics, then what causes heart attacks? According to the Lion HRT team, heart attacks are caused by a bodily process that turns your blood to a sludge:

“[The] highly dangerous process in your bloodstream that causes glue-like sludge to form in your arteries.”

This sludge is not cholesterol, which is how doctors typically categorize fatty acids in the blood. Instead, it’s linked to a new bodily process:

“It’s not cholesterol, as they told you for decades. And according to a hidden but groundbreaking new study by a team from Washington University School of Medicine…this is the real cause of heart attacks, high cholesterol, blood pressure and inflammation, including all of the 3-4 million heart disease cases last year.”

To make a long story short, the company advertises Lion HRT as a way to prevent this sludge from forming in your bloodstream, preventing heart attacks and reversing heart disease. They describe their supplement as a 6-second habit you can perform twice a day to prevent heart attacks:

The company claims this 6-second habit is known “only to social elites” who have access to exclusive information.

The ingredients in Lion HRT are purportedly so powerful that they eliminated heart disease in just a few weeks in the creator of the formula:

“…in just a few weeks reversed every single symptom of my condition…My cholesterol going from a dangerous 340 to a stable and healthy 170, no matter what I eat or drink.”

In fact, Lion HRT proved so effective that the man got rid of his blood pressure monitor. After having advanced heart problems, the man was completely cured of his condition after taking Lion HRT:

“Leading me to throw away my blood pressure monitor…Restoring my energy and putting an end to my heavy breathing. And even better, losing 18 pounds of deadly belly fat and restoring my sex drive and vigor that I thought I’d lost forever.”

The man’s miraculous recovery left his doctor “speechless”. Now, he wants to share his research with the world in the form of Lion HRT.

As far as we can tell, this story is entirely fictitious. Nobody has ever used Lion HRT to successfully lower cholesterol or eliminate heart disease, and Lion HRT is backed by zero scientific evidence it can achieve any of the advertised benefits. The formula has not been proven to help with weight loss, cholesterol, high blood pressure, and other symptoms of cardiovascular disease.

How Does Lion HRT Work?

The team behind Lion HRT doesn’t do an effective job of explaining how the supplement works. The team spends most of the sales page and video focusing on the benefits of the formula – not its methods of action.

We vaguely know Lion HRT targets tissue inflammation and repair. The company claims the ingredients in their formula help your heart repair itself, which can reduce symptoms of heart disease in just a few weeks.

Again, there’s no evidence that Lion HRT can positively impact heart health in any way, shape, or form.

Despite the lack of evidence, the company continues to claim their formula is “100% efficient” at “reversing” heart disease:

“A 100% efficient, safe and natural ritual. This nearly miraculous heart disease reversing habit I stumbled upon that literally saved my life is something too important to hide.”

Like other shady supplements sold online today, the creator of Lion HRT claims he’s not selling the supplement for profit: he’s selling it to help cure prevent and reverse heart disease in other people.

Lion HRT Ingredients

The makers of Lion HRT make enormous claims about their supplement, although the supplement mostly consists of vitamins and minerals you can get in any $10 multivitamin.

The supplement contains significant doses of riboflavin, vitamin B6, folate, magnesium, and potassium, for example. Yes, these ingredients are crucial for heart health and overall wellness – but they’re also widely available in much cheaper multivitamins and formulas.

So what makes Lion HRT worth 7x the price of an average multivitamin formula? The company claims to offer value in the form of 350mg of hibiscus, 200mg of garlic, 200mg of hawthorn berry, and 140mg of rosemary.

Each of these ingredients is a plant extract linked with various health and wellness benefits. Typically, these ingredients are shown to flood your body with antioxidants that can support immunity and inflammation, among other benefits. None of these ingredients have been singlehandedly proven to “prevent” a heart attack of “reverse heart disease”, among other advertised benefits.

Scientific Evidence for Lion HRT

The makers of Lion HRT claim the supplement is used by thousands of people to prevent heart attacks and reverse heart disease, among other benefits.

However, the company has not run any clinical trials or scientific studies proving the formula works as advertised on humans, animals, or cells. Instead, the company links to a small number of third party studies to support its advertised benefits.

The company cites this 2018 study published in Diabetes & Metabolic Syndrome, for example, which analyzed the effects of vitamin C and vitamin E supplementation on adult males with diabetes. There is no vitamin C or vitamin E in Lion HRT, so it’s unclear why the company cited this study.

The company also cites this 2011 study on the hypoglycemic effects of bitter melon extract on type 2 diabetes. Again, there’s no bitter melon extract in Lion HRT, and the supplement is not designed to treat diabetes.

The company cites other studies linking various plant extracts with anti-diabetic effects. Clearly, the company copied and pasted their ‘References’ page from an anti-diabetic supplement and hoped nobody would check.

Overall, there’s no evidence Lion HRT works as advertised to impact health, wellness, heart disease, or heart health in any way.

Lion HRT is made by a supplement company named Buy Goods. The company has a reputation for selling overpriced, over-hyped supplements online backed by unusually dramatic marketing campaigns. The company also publishes health and wellness guides, eBooks, and other information.

Final Word

Lion HRT is a nutritional supplement that makes unusually bold claims about its benefits and effectiveness. The supplement claims to reverse heart disease and prevent heart attacks, for example, as part of a 6-second daily ritual.

In an unusual marketing campaign, the creators of Lion HRT claim that diet, exercise, and genetics have “nothing” to do with heart disease. Instead, heart disease is linked with a bodily process that creates sludge in your bloodstream. The best way to eliminate this sludge is to take Lion HRT, which is “100% efficient [and] safe” with “no side effects”.

Overall, there’s no evidence that Lion HRT has any significant effect on the human body – and there’s certainly no evidence it prevents heart attacks or reverses heart disease. The most active ingredients in Lion HRT are B vitamins and garlic – ingredients you can find in supplements for under $10.

Based on the lack of evidence, unusually high pricing, and bizarre marketing campaign, there’s no reason to spend $50 to $70 on a bottle of Lion HRT.
