Full Disclosure

HairFortin is a hair growth supplement that uses natural ingredients like the Fo-Ti plant and the royal plant Andrographis Paniculata to regrow hair.

The company claims their formula is based on a “10-second monk ritual” that eliminates “balding caused by clogged follicles”, giving you advanced hair growth at a competitive price. Just take 2 capsules per day to enjoy powerful hair growth benefits.

What is HairFortin?

HairFortin is a nutritional supplement containing 28 plant extracts and vitamins. The supplement contains ingredients like the Fo-Ti plant. By taking 2 capsules of the supplement per day, you can encourage hair growth and help your hair regrow, among other benefits.

What is HairFortin?

As part of a special offer, HairFortin is bundled with another supplement called AgePop. That supplement claims to improve the strength, luster, and color of your hair in various ways.

By taking HairFortin and AgePop daily, you can enjoy powerful, natural hair growth without using chemicals or artificial regrowth methods.

That all sounds good – but does HairFortin actually work? Can this supplement really regrow hair? Let’s take a closer look at how HairFortin works.

How Does HairFortin Work?

HairFortin contains a proprietary blend of MSM, collagen, and natural extracts. Each 2 capsule serving contains 1.21g of this proprietary blend. The makers of HairFortin cite various studies supporting these hair regrowth ingredients, including studies showing they regrow hair in certain participants.

The formula also provides you with significant doses of vitamins and minerals. There’s 16,667% of your Daily Value (DV) of biotin, for example, and 444% of your DV of vitamin C.

How Does HairFortin Work?

Key ingredients in HairFortin include:

Vitamins and Minerals: HairFortin contains vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B6, biotin, pantothenic acid, calcium, zinc, selenium, copper, and manganese.

Methylsulfonylmethane: Also known as MSM, methylsulfonylmethane is popular for joint health. MSM plays a crucial role in hair, skin, and joints, and a growing number of hair growth supplements now contain MSM for added benefit.

Hydrolyzed Collagen: HairFortin contains type 1 and 3 hydrolyzed collagen from cows. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body. As the body ages, our collagen levels naturally drop. Type 1 and 3 collagen support your skin, hair, and joint health.

L-Methionine: L-methionine is an essential amino acid in humans. It’s one of the building blocks of protein. It contains sulfur, which is crucial for hair and skin health.

Gotu Kola Leaf: Gotu kola leaf is a plant product popular in traditional Chinese medicine. It’s also common in ancient Indonesian and Indian (Ayurvedic) medicine. Practitioners believe gotu kola can boost brainpower and support skin health, among other benefits.

Fo-Ti Root: Fo-Ti is an herb. The processed (or cured) root of the plant is used to make medicine. Fo-Ti root has been traditionally used for health and wellness. Today, Fo-Ti root is growing in popularity in hair and skin care products. There’s some evidence that Fo-Ti root supports hair health.

Other Ingredients: HairFortin also contains small dosages of grape seed extract, hydrolyzed keratin, alpha lipoic acid, amla fruit, and lyceum fruit, among other ingredients.

There’s some evidence these ingredients work as advertised to support hair health and regrow hair. However, HairFortin does not disclose complete dosage information, making it difficult to connect the ingredients to scientific benefits.

Scientific Evidence for HairFortin

Most of the ingredients above are packaged into a 1.21g proprietary blend. We know the total dosage of the 12+ ingredients, although we don’t know specific dosages.

The lack of dosage information is a problem. You can find Fo-Ti herbal supplements with 1,000mg of extract per serving, for example, that claim to support hair health. HairFortin could contain a tiny fraction of that amount – or it could contain a stronger dose.

Similarly, many people take collagen in doses of 2,000 to 4,000mg. In HairFortin, collagen is one of a dozen listed ingredients in the proprietary formula.

Overall, HairFortin seems to contain plenty of effective ingredients, although the dosages of these ingredients may be too small to be effective.

HairFortin Ingredients

The manufacturer publishes the full list of ingredients online. Here’s what it looks like:

HairFortin Ingredients

As mentioned above, HairFortin seems to contain many of the right ingredients – but at lower dosages than what was used in studies.

HairFortin does contain strong dosages of all vitamins and minerals. However, you can find a good multivitamin supplement with similar ingredients for under $10, while HairFortin is $70 per bottle.

Scientific Evidence for HairFortin

The company behind HairFortin has not performed any clinical trials or scientific studies on its formula. However, they cite numerous studies linking the supplement to various benefits.

They cite this 2017 study, for example, which cited Polygonum multiflorum root (Fo-Ti root) as a potential candidate for treatment of early graying hair. In that study, researchers concluded that Fo-Ti root may be a potential candidate for early graying hair treatment and related diseases.

The company also cites this 2002 study on seaweed that found many seaweeds were rich with antioxidants, including Kumbu, Nori, and Hijiki seaweed. Researchers found that Wakame seaweed had the highest antioxidant potential among many commercial seaweeds. HairFortin contains a small amount of Nori and Wakame seaweed.

The company frequently cites this study from 2015 that reviewed available evidence on Fo-Ti root and found that the plant “possessed various biological activities such as anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, anti-cancer, anti-oxidant and exerting preventing activity against neurodegenerative diseases as well”. None of these benefits are linked to hair regrowth.

There’s only one major study examining Fo-Ti root and hair loss. In 2011, researchers found that Fo-Ti root “promotes hair growth by inducing anagen phase in resting hair follicles”. In that study, researchers applied Fo-Ti root topically (applying it directly to the scalp). They did not take Fo-Ti root extract in supplement form (as in HairFortin).

The company also cites various studies showing how vitamins and minerals support skin and hair health in various ways. The vitamins and minerals in HairFortin are crucial for health and wellness, and they’re known to support hair health.

There are several problems with the scientific research cited by HairFortin:

Many studies use different dosages than HairFortin. Studies on Fo-Ti extract use dosages as high as 1,000mg, for example, yet HairFortin contains only a fraction of that amount.

Many cited studies use animals – not humans – as subjects. Some studies showed hair regrowth on rats and mice, for example. Overall, human research on HairFortin’s ingredients is limited.

Some studies used the same ingredients as HairFortin but applied the ingredients differently. The only major study showing Fo-Ti root was linked with hair growth, for example, involved topical application of Fo-Ti root – not taking the ingredient in supplement form.

Overall, some of the ingredients in HairFortin seem to genuinely support hair health. However, there’s limited evidence showing that HairFortin could “regrow” hair or reduce balding, among other advertised benefits.

What is HairFortin AgePop?

As part of a new offer, HairFortin is bundling certain purchases with a supplement called AgePop. That supplement contains just two ingredients:

  • 250mg of Andrographis paniculata
  • 30mg of hyaluronic acid

The company claims that these ingredients will help you enjoy “ageless hair, full of color and luster”. Hyaluronic acid is a popular ingredient in many skin care and hair care products.

What is HairFortin AgePop?

Andrographis paniculata is a lesser-known ingredient. Also known as green chiretta, Andrographis paniculata is a plant native to India and Sri Lanka.

WebMD claims that the leaves and stems of the plant are traditionally used to treat the common cold, throat infections, and other conditions, although “there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses”.

HairFortin Pricing

HairFortin is priced between $50 and $70 per bottle, depending on how many bottles you buy. Here’s how pricing breaks down:

HairFortin Pricing

  • 1 Bottle: $69
  • 3 Bottles + 1 Bonus Bottle of AgePop: $177

HairFortin Refund Policy

To qualify for a refund, ship your bottles back to the returns address listed below.

Returns Address: 37 Inverness Drive East, Suite 100, Englewood, Colorado 80112

Many of the top hair growth products available toady have strong refund policies. If the supplement does not work to regrow your hair, you can return it for a full refund. Even FDA-approved hair loss treatments like minoxidil will not work on anyone.

Who’s Behind HairFortin?

The manufacturer of HairFortin provides limited information about itself online. The company uses the same returns address (in Englewood, CO) as many other supplements sold online today, and no other address or manufacturing location information is listed.

You can only contact the company via email:

Final Word

HairFortin is a nutritional supplement that makes bold claims about its ability to grow hair. Unfortunately, there’s limited evidence the ingredients work as advertised to regrow hair, reduce balding, or provide other benefits. HairFortin contains some effective ingredients, although the dosages seem too low to have a significant effect on human hair growth.

At $70 per bottle, you can find better hair support formulas in this price range. However, if you like the idea of HairFortin, then it may be worth a purchase. The supplement has a good 60-day refund policy, letting you check if it works for you before buying.
