What is Blood Balance Formula?

Blood Balance Formula is a nutritional supplement made by Nutrition Hacks that claims to improve cardiovascular health by acting as a blood flow accelerator.

By taking the supplement daily, consumers might be able to:

  • Support healthy blood sugar levels
  • Support normal blood pressure levels
  • Lower bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol
  • Support weight loss
  • Reverse insulin resistance

In other words, Blood Balance Formula claims to be an all-in-one cardiovascular support supplement. It claims to reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes “better than anything else on the market”. It also claims to reverse insulin resistance (i.e. cure diabetes) “in a way no other product has done in the industry”.

Each bottle (30 servings) of Blood Balance Formula is priced at around $50. You can only order it through NutritionHacks.com.

How Does Blood Balance Formula Work?

Obviously, Blood Balance Formula makes some aggressive claims about its health benefits. So how does this supplement claim to work? Are any of these benefits legitimate?

It appears Blood Balance Formula has combined a bunch of herbal extracts together, then marketed as some type of cure for heart disease and diabetes – despite limited evidence.

The formula contains white mulberry leaf, juniper berry, berberine extract, bitter melon, cinnamon bark powder, biotin, and chromium. Nutrition Hacks describes the ingredients as “all natural”.

Oddly, Blood Balance Formula doesn’t list the specific dosage of most ingredients. Instead, all ingredients are packaged into a proprietary formula. We know there’s 340mg of a “botanical blend” with all of the ingredients listed above, for example, but we don’t know the individual dosage of any one ingredient.

The lack of dosage is a problem. Nutrition Hacks cites studies supporting the ingredients in Blood Balance Formula. However, these studies use different dosages than what’s used in the formula.

Nutrition Hacks cites one study where people took white mulberry extract three times a day for four weeks, for example, and decreased fasting blood sugar levels by 27% compared to an 8% decrease using a diabetes drug. However, the dosage used in this study seems much larger than the dosage used in Blood Balance Formula.

Nutrition Hacks also makes bizarre claims about other ingredients. They claim that bitter melon extract is “proven to lower blood glucose levels”, for example, and has “anti-diabetic properties”. In reality, bitter melon has shown some ability to lower blood sugar and act like insulin, although the dosage in Blood Balance Formula seems much different than the dosage “proven” to work.

Fortunately for Blood Balance Formula, we do know the dosage of several ingredients, including vitamin C (50mg of 80% Daily Value), vitamin E (15 IU or 50% DV), magnesium (125mg or 18% DV), zinc (7.5mg or 40% DV), manganese (1mg or 50% DV), and chromium (67mcg or 60% DV). These are useful vitamins and minerals that can genuinely provide health benefits. However, you can also find these ingredients in larger dosages in any multivitamin for less than $10.

Based on the listed ingredients, it’s hard to see how Blood Balance Formula works as advertised to “reverse diabetes” or cure other diseases.

Blood Balance Formula Ingredients

Blood Balance Formula hides most of its ingredient dosages inside a proprietary formula. Here’s what the ingredients label looks like:

Blood Balance Formula - 6 Bottles

We know the dosages of some vitamins and minerals. Most of the herbal extracts, however, are hidden inside the “botanical blend”, making it impossible to determine the dosage.

For example, WebMD.com reports that diabetics may take 1g of powdered white mulberry extract three times per day for anti-diabetic benefits, while people with high cholesterol levels might take the same dosage to lower cholesterol. Blood Balance Formula contains a tiny fraction of this dose, which makes us wary of its advertised health benefits.

Blood Balance Formula Pricing

Here’s how pricing breaks down:

  • 1 Bottle: $49.95 + Free Shipping
  • 3 Bottles: $129.99 + Free Shipping
  • 5 Bottles: $189.95 + Free Shipping

Each bottle contains 30 servings (60 capsules), or a 1 month supply. Shipping is included on all purchases.

You can pay online via Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or PayPal.

Blood Balance Formula Refund Policy

Blood Balance Formula has an unusual refund policy. The company describes its refund policy as a “60-day money back guarantee”, yet it also claims to have a 6-month refund policy:

“YOU'RE PROTECTED BY OUR 60-DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE! Simply put, if you don’t see the results you wish for, send us an email or give us a call within the next 6 months and we will return everything you paid. We will even let you keep your product as our way of saying thank you for trying. That's how confident we are in the quality of our products.”

Most companies require you to return the bottles for a refund. Blood Balance Formula does not.

To give credit where credit is due, Blood Balance Formula has a very generous refund policy. However, the company will deduct shipping costs from your refund. Since shipping costs are listed as free, it’s unclear how much of a refund you will actually receive.

Who Makes Blood Balance Formula?

Blood Balance Formula is made by a supplement company called Nutrition Hacks, which appears to be a subsidiary brand of Raposo Fitness Enterprises Inc., a Toronto-based company.

You can contact the company via the following:

You can view the Nutrition Hacks online store here. The company sells a range of trendy nutritional supplements, including Superfood Greens Juice, Organic Coconut Oil, Total 11 Trim, Joint Pain Hack, Fungus Hack, Memory Hack, and Flat Belly Formula, among other supplements.

Nutrition Hacks is a subsidiary of Raposo Fitness Enterprises, also known as Raposo International Enterprises. There’s limited information about that company online. Raposo Fitness Enterprises has a Better Business Bureau profile that lists one address in Miami, Florida, for example. Another website describes Raposo Fitness Enterprises as a Barbados-based company. Other listings use an address in Toronto.

Ultimately, Nutrition Hacks seems to white label nutrition supplements, then sell supplements under its own brand name. We can find no information about where supplements are manufactured or where ingredients are sourced.

Final Thoughts

Blood Balance Formula is a cardiovascular support supplement that makes big claims about its effectiveness. The formula claims to support good cholesterol levels, for example, reduce your risk of heart disease, and even reverse insulin resistance (i.e. cure diabetes).

Despite these bold health claims, Blood Balance Formula has limited evidence to back it up. The supplement uses decent ingredients – yet the dosages are much lower than what’s been proven effective in scientific studies.

Ultimately, it’s unclear why Blood Balance Formula is priced at $40 to $50 per bottle. You can find similar ingredients (with more transparent dosages) in a multivitamin supplement priced under $10.
